Our Facilities.
Katanning Regional Veterinary Hospital is fully equipped for
both large and small animal surgery. Orthopaedic equipment,
including arthroscopic equipment is available. Endoscopic equipment
for respiratory tract examination and surgery is also
available.
Dr Maxwell has developed a special interest in equine
medicine and surgery. To facilitate surgical procedures under
optimum conditions, he has incorporated an Equine Surgical Suite
that consists of: operating theatre, fully padded recovery stall, a
scrub/preparation room, hydraulically driven padded operating
table. There is also the provision for treatment and stabling
indoors.
Also for your horses there are two different horse crushes so
that Physical Examination, Radiography, Ultrasonography and
Chiropractic adjustments can be conducted.
Surgical expertise in both soft tissue and orthopaedics for
both Large and Small Animals.
Under the One roof we have:
- Two Surgical Suites - One for large animals and one for small
animals.
- Scrub - up / Prep rooms and recovery areas including a
fully padded room designed especially for post-operative care of
horses.
- The Hospital is fully equipped for
surgery with full x-ray,
arthroscopic, endoscopic and ultrasonography
facilities.
- Optimum recovery potential is met by
comprehensive on-site post-operative care with
enclosures and runs for smaller animals and both indoor and outdoor
stalls, holding yards, as well as fully fenced yards and paddocks
for larger animals including sheep, pigs, cattle and
horses.
